Description
Nasco Vision Challenges Simulation Glasses Set
Nasco Vision Challenges Simulation Glasses Set the realities of six common age-related visual impairments: cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinopathy, hemianopsia, and detached retina. Designed to be easily worn over glasses. Use glasses to attempt common activities of daily living: filling out forms, reading the newspaper, mixing cooking ingredients, etc. Set of 6 pairs of glasses, and user guide with visual challenges worksheets.
Here’s a breakdown of the simulated visual impairments:
- Cataracts: Glasses with a cloudy or blurred lens to simulate the visual effects of cataracts. Users may experience reduced clarity and increased sensitivity to glare.
- Glaucoma: Glasses that create tunnel vision, simulating the restricted peripheral vision often associated with glaucoma.
- Macular Degeneration: Glasses with a blurred or distorted central area to replicate the loss of central vision typical in macular degeneration.
- Retinopathy: Glasses that mimic the effects of retinopathy, such as distorted or wavy vision, simulating the damage to the blood vessels in the retina.
- Hemianopsia: Glasses with a partial visual field obstruction, reflecting the loss of vision in one half of the visual field, which can occur with hemianopsia.
- Detached Retina: Glasses with floaters or flashes to simulate the visual disturbances associated with a detached retina.
