Pressure ulcers are more likely to appear over pressure points such as heels, tips of toes, between toes, or anywhere the bones may protrude and rub against socks, shoes, or bed sheets.

With this realistic unit, the student can find the preset results and the instructor can unfailingly know if the student has performed the procedure accurately. The electronically generated sounds are digitally recorded.
The darkly pigmented skin section shows how different a Stage 1, blood blister, and suspected Deep Tissue Injury may appear depending on the pigmentation.
Stage 3 and 4 ulcers include an internal cavity that can be filled ahead of time for real mediation of purulent discharge. Wounds are easy to apply and clean, reusable, mold resistant, and durable.

The Stage 3 pressure ulcer is positioned so that the Stage 4 can be dressed by itself or a “bridging” dressing can be applied to the Stage 4and Stage 3 to demonstrate and practice this skill.
