BD Insyte Autoguard Shielded IV Catheters The unique push-button shielding mechanism releases the spring and allows the needle and flash chamber to quickly retract into the safety barrel. The student maintains control of the process by deciding when to activate the mechanism. It also features notched needle technology that allows quick blood visualization at the point of insertion that may help improve first-stick success and therefore reduce insertion attempts.
