F.) to aid in the physical ability‚ testing of fire department candidates. The vest weighs 50 lbs., simulating the weight of the fire fighter’s protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus. It is also designed to allow for the addition of two 121 22-lb. weights on the shoulders to simulate a high-rise pack (hose bundle). The vest, the shoulder weights, and Rescue Randy are exclusively required for the validated Candidate Physical Ability Test developed by the I.A.F.F./I.A.F.C.
